District using new technology to cut its carbon footprint

Welcome Revere Local Schools to the growing number of Ohio school districts that are part of our Clean Fuels for Schools initiative. By taking that step, the district is making the conscious, environmental choice to improve the performance of their bus fleets and cut the amount of pollutants reaching their neighborhoods.

This Summit County district switched its bus fuel to HPCD, a high performance clean diesel that has been saving districts hundreds of thousands of dollars in fuel and maintenance costs while also reducing their carbon footprint by cutting harmful emissions since its introduction in 2009.

So far, school districts that are members of the Clean Fuels for School initiative have reduced their carbon emissions by more than 2 million pounds.

At Clean Fuels for Schools, we are glad to see Revere Local join its fellow Summit County districts of Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools and Twinsburg City Schools in our mission to help schools create best practices, introduce them to technologies that improve their energy security, and broaden their commitment to protecting the environment.
